Space to explore worry, stress and feeling overwhelmed.
You may find yourself overthinking, feeling on edge or avoiding situations that matter to you. Counselling offers time to explore your experience of anxiety without having to put on a brave face.
I’m Vincent Akinnawo, a BACP-accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. In our work together, we can look at what brings anxiety into your life, the pressures around you and the ways you have learned to cope. We can explore patterns in thoughts, feelings and relationships, and consider changes that feel realistic for you.
You do not need a diagnosis or a clear explanation of how you feel to get in touch. The first conversation is a chance to talk about what is happening and whether my approach feels right for you.
My approach combines exploring patterns with practical coping strategies. We can look at what happens before, during and after an anxious moment, and how your thoughts, feelings and actions connect. Alongside understanding your experience, we can consider ways of responding that fit your circumstances. We will review what feels useful and adapt our work together.
I work with children, young people and adults and am currently accepting new clients. Session frequency is agreed individually. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or change an appointment; otherwise the full £70 session fee is due. The same fee applies to missed appointments.
I offer sessions at Kent Well-being Hub in Gillingham, Medway, and online. Sessions are £70 for 50 minutes, with a free 30-minute initial consultation. Call 07759 737823 or use the contact link above to enquire.
